Question

Do herbal remedies or honey help heal gum disease?

Answer

Honey is certainly not a bad addition to your diet in general. BUT be careful not to add another dental issue to your problem list, as it will increase your risk of tooth decay.

There is no evidence for honey healing gum disease.

The tried and tested method for resolving the inflammation from gum disease is removing the trigger. That trigger is the plaque bacteria (and what they produce) in and around all of your teeth all of the time.

They live in a sticky film layer around the gum line and in the gum pockets, and can only be removed effectively with mechanical cleaning.
