Question

I am following the advice for at-home care, but my gums are bleeding a lot. It’s horrible. What do I do?

Answer

Don’t panic! The way to think of it is this:

Most of the time when gums bleed it is because they are already inflamed and trying to “flush out the bad stuff”. It does not mean you have done something wrong or indicate your condition is more severe.

Bleeding will stop after a few seconds or minutes (assuming you are medically well with no other bleeding disorders).

Don’t be disheartened and stop your Daily Self-Performed Care thinking you have failed. You’re on the journey so keep pushing and persevere.

Within a week or two of being consistent, we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised and less upset ☺️☺️
