Question

Which type of denture is best for my missing teeth?

Answer

Dentures are always custom designed for you.

So assuming you have lost teeth as a result of gum disease, the two main factors to discuss with your dentist are:

1. Which design means least plaque bacteria accumulation at the gum line, which is what can trigger continued inflammation/ re-inflammation around other nearby teeth?

2. Which design relies least on other teeth which are already compromised because of gum disease? Metal dentures have seats and clasps on teeth as that is how they are supported and “click in” well.
